CASS Rises Above the Waves in This Year’s Intramurals
From being at the bottom of the rankings in past years, the Blue Dolphins prove that dedication and teamwork can turn the tide.
For years, the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) of Tarlac State University was often seen near the bottom of the overall rankings during the university’s Intramurals. It became a narrative many had grown used to hearing—one that associated the college more with perseverance than podium finishes. However, this year marked a significant and inspiring change.
For the first time in recent years, CASS is no longer part of the bottom two in the Intramurals standings. This achievement may seem simple to some, but for the athletes, faculty coaches, and the entire CASS community, it represents something much bigger: progress, dedication, and a renewed competitive spirit.
Known as the Blue Dolphins, CASS has long embraced the symbolism of resilience and strength beneath the surface. Dolphins are not just swimmers—they are agile, intelligent, and capable of navigating deep waters. This year, that identity became more than just a symbol. It became a reality on the playing fields, courts, and arenas of the university.
Behind this milestone is the unwavering support and commitment of the faculty coaches who guided the athletes through training, preparation, and competitions. Their mentorship helped build confidence and discipline among the players, reminding them that improvement is always possible with effort and unity.
Equally important are the athletes who carried the pride of CASS throughout the Intramurals. Many of them balanced academic responsibilities while dedicating time and energy to represent the college. Their determination showed that CASS is capable not only of participating but also of competing strongly against other colleges.
This year’s result sends a clear message: the Blue Dolphins are no longer simply trying to stay afloat—they are learning how to rise and, when the moment calls for it, even submerge the competition.
More than rankings, this milestone reflects the growing culture of teamwork and belief within the college. It shows that with consistent support, preparation, and passion, CASS can continue to improve in the years to come.
As the waves settle after this year’s Intramurals, one thing is certain—the Blue Dolphins have begun to change the narrative. And this may just be the start of an even stronger presence for CASS in future competitions.
