Sci-Fi Play "The Man Who Can’t Be Moved" and Horror Hit "Nobisya" Dominate Short and Sweet Play Stage

The Short and Sweet Play show continued on November 21 at the Smith Hall Theatre Room, with two sections completing their performances for the midterm showcase.
Securing the coveted Best Play awards in their respective sections were 3B Group 3's Sci-Fi entry, "The Man Who Can’t Be Moved," and 3D’s gripping Horror play, "Nobisya."
The Sci-Fi production “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” presented by Comm 3B Group 3 received the highest number of major awards, capturing five titles for its directorial and technical excellence

Other key awards in Comm 3B were distributed as follows:
Group 1’s RomCom, “Apmus,” emerged as a powerful acting vehicle, earning Best Actor for Paulo Garcia, Best Actress for Joan Espiritu, Best Stage Design, and a Special Citation in Acting for Kenjih Yalung.
Group 2’s Tragedy, “Aqua Tofana,” was recognized for its foundational elements, clinching Best Poster and Best Script.
Group 4’s Drama, “Sa Hapag ng Pagtatapat,” received honors for Best Music Score and a Special Citation in Acting for Justine Tuazon.
In Section 3D, the Horror play “Nobisya” was lauded by critics, securing multiple top titles and demonstrating its overall strength in performance and production

Meanwhile, the Sci-Fi play “The Emphateon” earned technical distinctions, winning Best Musical Scoring and Best Lights and Sounds.
The remaining Section 3D awards recognized strong performances across other genres:
Kurap (Drama) took home Best Actor for Mark Francis Daniel and Best Poster.
Once Upon A Fairy-Tala won Best Script and Best Supporting Actress for Rhian Delos Reyes, along with a Special Citation for Billnda Martinez.
