TSU Communication Students Triumph in CAASUC III Culture and the Arts Festival 2022

Tarlac State University (TSU) student-artists showcased their talent and creativity after winning multiple awards during Day 1 of the CAASUC III Culture and the Arts Festival 2022, held on November 21, 2022, at the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) Radio Studio and Theater Room.

Tarlac State University (TSU) student-artists showcased their talent and creativity after winning multiple awards during the CAASUC III Culture and the Arts Festival 2022, held on November 21, 2022, at the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) Radio Studio and Theater Room.

Representing the Performing Arts Category, TSU students, mostly from the Department of Communication, achieved remarkable victories in several competitions.

In the Radio Drama category, the TSU team emerged as Champion with members Darold Pascua, Chelsea Saura, Dawn Tenio, Nicky Fhaye Serapion, Jan Derek Legaspi, JC Tan Talavera, Anabelle Baun, and Asher Jimenez, under the guidance of Coach Ms. Janice De La Cruz.

Meanwhile, the university’s entry in the Short and Sweet Play (Drama) category earned 3rd Runner-Up, with participants Dandy Tiongco Jr., Jerina Yalung, Shanen Hipolito, Gray Tecson, Joyce Jimenez, John Carlo Jimenez, Czhaleea Anne Domingo Sese, and Lovely Aquino, coached by Prof. Augusto N. Lulu Jr.

TSU also secured another championship title in the Short and Sweet Play (Musical) category, with performers Dale Calvin Castañeda, Mylene Torres, Morris Sibal, Dolores Nichole Feliciano Pareña, Kyla Marie Evangelista Subron, Nathan Celestra Pontanilla, and Gabriel Tabag, mentored by Prof. Raffy Aganon.

The CAASUC III Culture and the Arts Festival is an annual regional event that celebrates creativity and artistic expression among students from state universities and colleges in Central Luzon.

The TSU Communicators’ Guild and the Department of Communication expressed pride in their students’ achievements, commending their dedication and passion for the performing arts.
