BGSHS student journalists learn journalism from TSU Communication faculty

Student journalists of Bonifacio G. Soliman High School learned various categories of journalism in an extensive training conducted by the faculty members and students of the Tarlac State University (TSU) Communication Department, held at Balanti, Tarlac, last November 22.

Student journalists of Bonifacio G. Soliman High School learned various categories of journalism in an extensive training conducted by the faculty members and students of the Tarlac State University (TSU) Communication Department, held at Balanti, Tarlac, last November 22.
The extensive training includes a short discussion on various categories of journalism, equipping students and aspiring journalists with necessary knowledge about journalism.
Correspondingly, some COMM faculty members and students served as the speakers and trainers to hone the skills of the students: Ms. Karen Maniego, feature writing; Mr. Justine De Aquino and Mr. Ricky Eslabra, photojournalism; Mr. Derich Bognot, copyreading and headline writing; Mr. Darren Alimurong, editorial writing; Ms. Heleina Quesada, column writing; Mr. Mhack Hipolito, radio broadcasting; Prof. Nerissa Olarte and Mr. Alyson Madriaga, editorial writing; Prof. Jose Russel Arador, news writing; and Mr. Jovito Taruc: sports writing.
The extensive training served as the workshop for student journalists of Bonifacio G. Soliman High School, as they are now preparing for their shot in the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC).
