The competition, spearheaded by Ms. Marvi Dela Cruz, Director of the Tarlac PCEDO, featured local products such as Bayong Gracia, TEA-napa, Chicharon Camiling, and Potter’s Hand. It aimed to enhance product marketability through innovative and creative packaging designs.

Participants included students from the TSU College of Architecture and Fine Arts, College of Computer Studies, College of Business and Accountancy, and the TSU Communicators’ Guild, as well as representatives from Tarlac National High School, Corazon C. Aquino National High School, Emilio Aguinaldo College – Birbira High School, and Jose V. Yap National High School.

The competition was divided into two rounds. The first round was judged by Ms. Maria Divina Gracia, Mr. Randy E. Valencia, and Mr. Emerson Hastin, who evaluated entries based on creativity, functionality, and market relevance. From all submissions, 15 entries advanced to the next stage. In the second round, 8 finalists from TSU and other participating schools presented the concept and story behind their designs.

Representing the Department of Communication, Mr. Jefferson Maliwat and Ms. Thimothy Addelaide Yvonne Perez of the TSU Communicators’ Guild designed the product packaging for TEA-napa by CGN Food Product Company and Chicharon Camiling. Although their entries did not advance to the final round, Ms. Perez received the CGN Food Products’ Choice Award for her outstanding design concept.

The event aimed to cultivate students’ creativity and business-mindedness by encouraging them to create visually appealing designs that strengthen product identity and consumer engagement.

The winners of the competition were Mr. Kim Jasper De Guzman from the TSU College of Business and Accountancy (1st Place), Justine Philip Sicat from the TSU College of Computer Studies (2nd Place), and Mr. Lambert Manalac from the TSU College of Business and Accountancy (3rd Place).
