Tolenada, the session aims to provide student with knowledge and attitudes regarding with ethical standards, emotional labor, and best practices for interviewing sensitive or vulnerable sources in journalism.
Featuring resource speaker Mr. Ronald Dizon, a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in both national and international media, currently a publisher of Tarlakenyo.com, Co-host of the Prankahan Tayo podcast, and President of the Central Luzon Media Association – Tarlac Chapter, shared his professional experiences in journalism, particularly in conducting interviews, making ethical decisions in news reporting, and handling the emotional challenges involved in covering sensitive stories.
Mr. Dizon helped participants appreciate the importance of responsible questioning and empathetic communication in the field of journalism.
The seminar ended with a reflection, where participants shared their key takeaways on the importance of ethical journalism and empathetic and responsible questioning.
